Using the artwork
A plain-language summary of the terms described in the Etsy listings. The licence wording on each listing is always the one that applies.
Generally permitted
- Personal projects — journals, scrapbooks, cards and crafts
- Finished physical products for sale, such as printed stationery, stickers, journals, posters, mugs and apparel
- Designs in which the illustrations form part of a new, finished work
Not permitted
- Reselling, sharing or giving away the original PNG files
- Repackaging the files as clipart, digital kits or design resources
- Sublicensing the artwork or claiming ownership of it
Purchasing a collection does not transfer copyright or grant exclusive rights. Terms can differ between listings and may change over time; read the licence section of the listing you buy. For anything unusual, ask the shop through Etsy Messages before you start.
